ABC News released a transcript of Biden's interview featuring a section that was left out of the TV broadcast.
According to the transcript, Biden replied:"Look, that's like askin' my deceased son Beau, who spent six months in Kosovo and a year in Iraq as a Navy captain and then major—I mean, as an Army major. And, you know, I'm sure h—he had regrets comin' out of Afganista—I mean, out of Iraq."Carlson said on Thursday:"We're waiting for the tape, but that's the transcript. Now the president's son was in the Navy, not the Army.
"He did not serve in Afghanistan. He served in Kosovo and Iraq. Joe Biden can't seem to remember those details. We're not attacking him. We're not telling you this with glee. We're telling you because it's true. This is the man leading our country," Carlson said. Beau Biden was a major in the Delaware Army National Guard and served a year in Iraq in 2008 to 2009. He was awarded the Bronze Star. Biden had worked in Kosovo following the 1998/1999 war there and helped to train prosecutors and judges.Tucker Carlson speaks during the Mathias Corvinus Collegium Feszt on August 7, 2021 in Esztergom, Hungary.
