The National Family Farm Coalition says the trade deal with Mexico and Canada will not help smaller producers.
However, the new deal has dismayed the National Family Farm Coalition representing 50,000 smaller farmers and ranchers, and over 400,000 people in the fishing industry across the country.
In his view, the deal missed the chance to address low prices for products by independent family farmers. "We instead call on Congress to support dairy supply management to deliver fair prices to farmers in all three countries."
