The highly anticipated special counsel's report was released Thursday. The president's legal team also prepared a rebuttal report.
WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump on Thursday responded to the release of the highly anticipated report from special counsel Robert Mueller on Russian interference in the 2016 election.
After Attorney General William Barr held a press conference explaining takeaways from the Mueller report, Trump tweeted a"Game of Thrones"-inspired image which read"Game Over."Earlier Thursday morning, before Barr's remarks, Trump went on a Twitter tirade against the special counsel's probe. After reading the finished report last month, Barr wrote to Congress that Mueller and his team of investigators"did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia."
Instead, Mueller left it up to the Attorney General to decide whether, based on the evidence, the president had criminally obstructed justice.
