Donald Trump’s Save America PAC has hired two political operatives from Iowa, a sign the former president hasn’t closed the door on a 2024 run for the White House

Eric Branstad and Alexander Latcham were hired with a “broad political portfolio focused on advancing Save America’s goals of electing strong, Pro-Trump, America First conservatives,” a Save America spokesperson told POLITICO. The news was firstLatcham, who worked in the Trump White House in political affairs, moved back to Iowa — the state that typically kicks off the race for the White House — earlier this year. Branstad also lives in Iowa and served as Trump’s Iowa state director.
The former president hasn’t said whether he will run in 2024, as he continues to falsely claim he beat President Joe Biden in November. But campaign disclosure reports filed last week show the former president has quite the war chest. Team Trump has raised more than $50 million over the past six months, with
heading into the second half of 2021. His post-election fundraising operation has focused on mainly small-dollar online fundraising through Save America and his Make America Great Again PAC.a few weeks ago, when asked if he would run for president again.
