President Trump not expected to attend Teacher of the Year award ceremony

Nancy Rodriguez, a spokesperson for the Council of Chief State School Officers, told CNN Saturday morning that it was CCSSO's understanding that Trump would not be in attendance for the event on White House grounds and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos would instead present the award to 2019 winner Rodney Robinson.CNN has reached out to the White House and Department of Education for comment.
