Steven Nelsonasked Trump if he would consider pardoning Exotic, who is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence for a handful of crimes, including a murder-for-hire plot.
“I know nothing about it,” Trump said of Exotic’s situation. “He has 22 years for what, what did he do?” Trump, who was clearly amused by the topic, then asked the reporter what he thought of Exotic’s prison sentence: “Do you think he didn’t do it? Are you on his side? Are you recommending a pardon? As a reporter, you’re not allowed to do that.”
