Trump keeps telling people his father was German - he wasn't
Donald Trump once again has made the claim that his father, Fred Trump, was not born in the U.S. Speaking in the Oval Office beside NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the president said,"My father is German, right. Was German. Born in a very wonderful place in Germany."
But that's simply not true. Fred Trump was the son of a German immigrant, but was born in New York. The president's grandfather, Friedrich Trump, emigrated to America from Germany in 1885 at the age of 16. This is not the first time that Trump has claimed that his father was born in the Western European nation. In this video, we compile all the times the president has lied about his ancestry.
