The beauty of “Meatball Ron” is that it seems a bit provocative but no one can say exactly why. Urban Dictionary’s topis “fat narcissist, especially one prone to deception and theft.” So it’s a jab at DeSantis’s character and weight? Urban Dictionary also says, “is a term to describe a rather dumb person … they usually lack common sense.” Perhaps Trump is just calling DeSantis stupid?is that it’s an attack on DeSantis’s Italian heritage.
There was a time when Donald Trump would have relished setting off such a stupid public debate, but now he has gone soft. Or he could be backtracking, because he has realized that “Meatball Ron” is just too good.
Whatever the real reason, “Meatball Ron” is tragically DOA. And that means we’re going to be subjected to many more months of Trump workshopping nonsensical clunkers like “
