Trump’s immigration policy is on the line as DACA comes to the Supreme Court today. Here’s what you need to know about this blockbuster case.
President Trump's decision to end the popular Obama-era immigration program that shields young migrants from deportation will be on the line during arguments in a blockbuster case at the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
More than 100 businesses, including some of the nation's largest and best known, have urged the Supreme Court to protect the program. The justices will hear extended arguments concerning whether the administration's attempted termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program was lawful. The program, put in place seven years ago, protects about 700,000 immigrants and allows them to receive work permits.
