Former President Donald Trump endorsed current Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the Republican primary for the position. Paxton is running against George P. Bush, the only member of the Bush family to publicly back Trump.Paxton and George P. Bush are currently in a tight-knit race for the next Attorney Governor of Texas. Paxton was elected as Attorney General of Texas in 2015. He was re-elected for a second term in 2015.
