If it survives land interactions with those islands then Florida would certainly be in the projected track according to the latest official guidance from the National Hurricane Center. The official track forecast strengthens the storm to named status within the next 24 hours or less but then briefly weakens it over Hispaniola. Tropical systems are affected by land and elevated terrain so that is not surprising.
