Searching for a bounce back victory following a couple of difficult setbacks to Wyomissing and West Perry in succession, the Shamrocks used a handful of scoring threats to earn one. Hauling in one of five touchdown passes from QB Caleb Wray, Christian Joy followed his 25-yard TD haul with a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown that lifted Trinity to a 21-0 first-quarter lead.
Joy also headlined the Shamrocks’ rushing yards, carrying seven times for 149 yards in a 47-14 triumph over Boiling Springs. PennLive voters marked Joy’s performance, naming the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder as PennLive’s player of the week. Joy banked 7,210 votes, edging Waynesboro’s Hayden Nolan for the top spot.
