A truly heartbreaking story
Tributes have been paid to a "bubbly" Nottingham dad who stepped in front of a train. Luke Davies, from Lenton, tragically died after the collision between Castle Bridge Road and Wilford Road near Nottingham Railway Station on May 9 last year.
He said the driver saw Mr Davies just before the collision and it all happened in a "matter of seconds", adding that there was no evidence of suspicious circumstances or third party involvement. Mr Davies had not been prescribed medication and had no history of mental health problems recorded by his GP, the hearing was told.
"We had two rooms and there were still people outside, there were so many people. He was a brilliant dad. Luke will be forever loved and missed by his wife, children and family."
