Tributes have been paid to a Scots footballer who passed away suddenly leaving his family heartbroken.
James, from Dumbarton, appeared to have played for the Glasgow team for several seasons. The team competes in the Glasgow and District Sunday Football Championship second division and promotes recovery from alcohol and drug issues and challenging stigma. "The past few days have really shown how many people loved James and how well thought of he was. His untimely passing has left an empty space in a lot of lives, none more so than his family.
Another close friend wrote: "R.I.P Coogie, More than a teammate, more than a friend. Will miss you dearly big man."The club posted the devastating news of James' passing on Facebook on Thursday. Their heartfelt tribute read: "It is with deepest sadness we let you know that our player & captain James McCourt has tragically passed, we send our sincere condolences to his family & friends.
