‘Already on death’s door’: Witness in murder trial says mom walked unresponsive child to police
SAN ANTONIO — A Bexar County jury saw body camera footage of a mother bringing her unresponsive daughter into a Northwest police substation after she reportedly fell, as the murder trial of Jessica Briones began Monday.she carried her daughter, Olivia Briones, 4, into the San Antonio police substation
She told authorities that she researched causes of vomiting and found that it could have been caused by head trauma, the affidavit stated. “Olivia Briones already was on death’s door when she was taken to the police substation,” Haden told the jury during her opening statement. “She decided to prove her theory instead of investigate,” said Fahle, who added that he believes the jury will determine that “the evidence to support her theory is not there.”
