The accident happened around 5 p.m. ET and involved Williams’ motorcycle and a single car. The driver of the single car did not see Williams. Williams was the only person hurt in the crash. A helicopter arrived to airlift him to the hospital., saying, “Treat was full of love for his family, for his life, and for his craft, and was truly at the top of his game in all of it.

He played the lead Dr. Andy Brown on The WB’s Everwood, a drama TV series that helped launch the careers of Chris Pratt, Gregory Smith, and Emily VanCamp. In 1979, Williams appeared as George Berger in Miloš Forman’s Hair and Corporal Chuck ‘Stretch’ Sitarski in Steven Spielberg’s 1941.
