It follows a spate of garage and shed break-ins
A "treasure trove" of 12 stolen bikes has been uncovered at a garage after a spate of break-ins across an area of Nottinghamshire. The haul was seized by police at an address in Montrose Court, Stapleford on Monday, September 18.
A number of those are suspected to have been stolen during garage and shed break-ins in the Beeston and Bramcote areas. A 34-year-old man has been voluntarily interviewed on suspicion of handling stolen goods. Inquiries remain ongoing. Inspector Mike Ebbins, District Commander of Broxtowe, said: “We are aware of the public's concern around bike theft in the Broxtowe area and have been working with community intelligence to identify handlers. This has led to an arrest and a number of bikes being found. Now we have found the bikes we are keen to reunite them with their owners."
Nottinghamshire Police have given three of the bikes back to their owners and have released images of the rest. Anyone who recognises their bike is asked to email [email protected]
