The latest transfer news and gossip as Weston McKennie's future takes a positive turn with Italian giants Juventus and Joel Robles reflects on his move away from Elland Road

McKennie future Weston McKennie didn’t enjoy the best spell on loan at Elland Road last season, but his fortunes have taken a positive turn since his return to Juventus in the summer. The American international has featured in every game for the Bianconeri this season, adding an assist in their victory over Lazio last week, and it now appears he could be in line for an unlikely new deal with the Italian giants.

Despite having previously struggled for gametime, reports in Italy are now suggesting the 25-year-old’s emergence as a first team player under Max Allegri could earn him an extended contract, with a final decision hinging on his upcoming performances. His upturn in fortunes perhaps shouldn’t come as a surprise considering separate reports that have suggested Juventus boss Allegri was unsure about sending him to Leeds United in the first place.

Robles surprise Joel Robles has admitted his surprise at how much he’s enjoying life in Saudi Arabia this season. The Spaniard swapped Elland Road for the Arabian peninsula this summer, joining second division side Al-Qadsiah on a free transfer.

"The Arab lifestyle has surprised me for the better,” he said. “The truth is that we are very happy, both my family and I. We have no problem with the typical doubts that arise to all of us about life for women. No one is going to tell you anything but some customs have to be followed. In shopping centres or public places, women cannot wear the short dresses that they wear here in Spain, they have to be worn a little longer.

"In general, there is no type of problem. Nobody says anything to you or looks at you strangely. The truth is that I am very happy, this country has surprised for the better."
