Scots sisters die just days apart as heartbroken family plan to lay them to rest together
The “heartbroken” family of Shaunie and Shavanna Thomson, from Edinburgh, are planning a joint funeral after the siblings passed away within three weeks of each other following separate incidents.
Mary McGovern, who is organising the fundraiser, said wrote on crowdfunding site GoFundMe: “The family have made the decision to have both girls funeral together which during the worst time of their life’s will also be finically difficult.Just days after her sister’s death, Shavanna told pals on Facebook that she was struggling with her grief.At the weekend, news of Shavanna’s death sparked a flurry of tributes to both sisters.
One pal added: “R.I.P shavanna & Shaunie. 2 sisters gone.. in the space of 3 weeks, Regardless of what happened .. Yous both should still be here.
