Police have issued a statement
A man has been pronounced dead after police were called to an incident at Preston Docks this morning .
Emergency services attended reports that a man had been found unconscious in a car on Mariners Way at around 5.45am. A larg scene was put in place close to the McDonald's restaurant. Lancashire Constabulary have now confirmed the male has since passed away. They say his death is not being treated as suspicious.A cordon was put in place on the car park, but this has now been reopened to the public and reduced. Officers say that a file will be passed to HM Coroner.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We were called to a carpark on Mariners Way, Preston, at 5.45am today to a report that a man had been found unconscious in a car. "Emergency services attended but very sadly, a man in his 50s was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.READ NEXT:
