The deaths date back decades
Three people who were found dead in Nottinghamshire have never been identified, with some dating back to the 80s. The individuals are yet to be named years after they were found dead in the county.
This man, who police believe was 40 to 55-years-old and of White European ethnicity, was found on April 21, 1981 in The River Trent at Averham, Newark. When found he was partially decomposed and had been in the water for at least four weeks, but is believed to have been of stocky build and clean shaven.
He is believed to have died no more than four months before being found in the rural area. Police said he was of Dark European ethnicity, medium build, and was 5ft 8in - 5ft 10in.
