A man tragically died after falling from a high-rise apartment block in Stretford on Saturday night .
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident at Stretford House, on Chapel Lane, at around 9pm and found a man with 'serious injuries'. It is believed the man, aged in his 40s, fell from the 23-storey building. He was later pronounced dead at the scene with police remaining at the apartments overnight. It is not currently believed anyone else was involved.Chapel Lane remained cordoned off for a number of hours following the incident amid investigations with officers still at the scene on Sunday morning. An investigation remains ongoing.
Following the tragedy people shared their condolences on social media as one person wrote: "My thoughts are with his family and friends. This is so sad regardless of the circumstances."A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Emergency services were called to Chapel Lane in Stretford at around 9pm on Saturday after a man was found with serious injuries after it is believed he fell from a block of flats.
"Officers are investigating after the man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not currently believed that anyone else is involved in the incident and there is currently a scene and police officers at the location. The investigation is ongoing."
