The construction of a new entrance as part of a roughly $600 million overhaul of Manhattan’s Penn Station will lead to the eviction of 10 businesses inside the transit hub, including a popular bar known as an oasis amid the commuting chaos.
Bruce Caulfield, a co-owner of Tracks Bar, said he and other businesses received letters in April saying they would have to leave by Aug. 31 to make way for construction, which is expected to begin Monday.
