Each year the restaurant feeds the needy before Thanksgiving with a traditional turkey dinner. Volunteers including Cleveland Browns players pitch in.
This year’s event is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the restaurant, which is located in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood. In addition, the restaurant – which is dog-friendly - will deliver small-sized containers of turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing to local dog shelters.Brian Day, a representative for TownHall, said the restaurant has enough volunteers lined up but is trying to get the word out about the dinners. He said TownHall’s Columbus location, which had its first Feed the Need in 2021, also will hold the event this year on the day before Cleveland’s.
Which celebrities or Browns players who will help out is up in the air, he said. In the past, Baker Mayfield and his wife, Emily, were key proponents of the initiative.The restaurant is at 1909 W. 25th St., Cleveland.
