With his new cookbook, the comedian and actor is flexing his culinary chops, serving up sexy leftovers and offering wine pairings, to bootdoesn’t necessarily make for the best eating, what with long days and nights spent shooting and the inevitable desperate plunges into the candy bowl on the craft service table. But in the case of comedian-actor-writer-director-musician Eric Wareheim, the work only served to further his evolution into a full-fledged cook, restaurant hound and wine connoisseur.
Followers of all things “Heimy-style” eagerly await his first cookbook, “Foodheim: A Culinary Adventure” , a collection of dishes that make his palate go “bonk.” Food has actually fascinated Mr. Wareheim for as long as he can remember. In “Foodheim,” he shares approachable recipes that walk readers through making everything from his mother’s Bavarian beef rouladen to pizza dough. “It’s also a book about nostalgia, and about sharing things I love,” he said.
