Democratic opposition research giant American Bridge is launching an initiative to flip state legislatures
launching a new effort to help the party flip state legislatures, seekingarm down-ballot Democrats with a significant trove of ammunition as they seek to expand their bench this election cycle.
But it will require significant resources and attention — including opposition research, seen by some as a "dark art" native to national politics — at a time when the focus of most Democrats will be on defeating President Donald Trump, maintaining their new House majority and attempting to flip the Senate.
