UPDATE: No criminality is suspected in the case of wandering NYC toddler. Here's what TStrahan4NY has learned about the case.
A 2-year-old boy found alone at a Bronx street corner a day ago has been reunited with his family and no criminality is suspected in his case, police said Tuesday.
Cops responding to a 911 call around 9 p.m. Monday found the toddler at the corner of Randall and Olmstead avenues, in the Castle Hill neighborhood. He was alone. A 29-year-old witness made the report after finding the boy by himself, authorities say. According to the NYPD, the child didn't speak but appeared in good health.
He was taken to a hospital for evaluation and reunited with family Tuesday after cops learned the apartment door had accidentally been left open, allowing him to get out. The toddler's mother reported him missing when she got home from work Monday.
