The man and two-year-old child both suffered injuries after being struck by the train near Garrowhill Station in the east end of Glasgow. An investigation has now been launched by police.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at Garrowhill Train Station in the east end at around 7.30pm yesterday after reports of two people on the tracks. Both the man and toddler sustained injuries, with the child's not believed to be life-threatening and the man in a serious condition.
"Officers attended and two people – an adult man and a two-year-old child – were taken to hospital where they both remain.
