The Light Blues announced his departure from the club alongside his backroom staff this evening with Steven Davis leading an interim team following a poor start to the campaign. The Ibrox men have lost three of their first seven Scottish Premiership matches with the defeat at home to Aberdeen the final straw for the board. They also got hammered off PSV in the Champions League play-off round with hopes of a second successive season at Europe's top table ended by a 7-3 aggregate scoreline.
