Japan’s central bank nearly tripled its target for holdings of corporate debt as it forecast the GDP would shrink 3% to 5% this fiscal year
TOKYO—The Bank of Japan said it would nearly triple its holdings of corporate debt to ¥20 trillion to ease fundraising for companies affected by the novel coronavirus, and it forecast a sharp contraction in the country’s economy this fiscal year.
