.ofcTimAllen talks daughter’s role in The Santa Clauses: ‘Most amazing thing in the world’
Allen, 69, is reprising the role of Scott Calvin from the original The Santa Clause film that debuted in 1994.For the new streaming series, Allen told Fox News that Allen-Dick was originally expected to play the role of a background elf.
"She just kept drilling it," he said of his daughter's casting reading."I mean, literally, it's like a golfer that constantly is hitting that pitching wedge on the green.""It was the most amazing thing in the world to see my kid,” Allen added. “And I had very little to do with it.
“It’s Christ-mas. It literally is a religious holiday,” he told the Wrap. “We don’t have to blow trumpets, but I do want you to acknowledge it. That’s what this is about. If you want to get into Santa Claus, you’re gonna have to go back to history, and it’s all about religion.” The first two episodes were released on Nov. 16, with new releases each week. The last of the Disney+ The Santa Clauses six episodes was released Wednesday.
