South Lakes Police said that cameras are being installed at The Grot in the grounds of Rydal Hall in theon the edge of Windermere after receiving complaints from staff. The waterfall is popular with TikTokers with one clip going viral after a family travelled several hours to get there. The neighbourhood policing team said today "this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated" and warned that officers will be patrolling the area. They said that the beauty spot is "used by all".We visited the TikTok-famous Lake District waterfall hut and it was much angrier than on our phones
South Lakes Police said in a statement: "We have received complaints from Rydal Hall about people taking drugs by the waterfall . This is used by all and this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.Show morethe waterfall hut at Rydal Hall and described it as the "ultimate 'wait for it' moment".
The site also has plenty of woodland with 500-year-old Chestnuts and the huge estate offers camping and glamping facilities, self-catering wooden cabins, bunkhouse, stable cottage and coach house in the grounds and an onsite cafe and shop.
