'I'm gonna stab you, you're dead'
Joseph Elder, 35, poked a blade through the letterbox of 21-year-old Lukaz Stachowiak's home in Glasgow's Broomhill on September 8, 2022.He was later clocked at the scene by police committing theThe offence comes a year after Elder was convicted at the High Court in Glasgow of a serious assault on a man with the use of a knife.Elder has a further High Court conviction from 2016 which was an assault with intent to rob with the use of a knife.
Prosecutor John Bedford said:"On approaching the front door, he observed a kitchen knife with a black handle sticking through his letter box. "On checking the peephole, he saw Elder and heard him shouting threats 'I'm gonna stab you, you're dead'." An"alarmed" Mr Stachowiak contacted the police who attended to find Elder still at the door making death threats.
