. Members of the group met over the past week with members of Congress and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Texas Democrats had planned to stay in Washington at least through next week and possibly until Aug. 7, when the Texas legislative session ends. Most members of the delegation will cancel their plans to attend a Black Lives Matter event on Saturday night, an aide said. The group plans another round of tests Sunday morning and is deciding if it wants to proceed with in-person meetings.

The Texas Democratic caucus is currently trying to identify who may have been exposed. The group’s members have held multiple meetings since flying to Washington on Monday, including with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Joe Manchin Mr. Schumer didn’t meet with any of the three state legislators who tested positive, the group said. Mr. Manchin also wasn’t in meetings with any of the three legislators, a spokeswoman said.
