Police believe the perpetrators were “haphazardly shooting at the 13-year-old and his associates and unfortunately the 11- and 3-year-old were struck” while walking home from the store, Gautsch said. Police also confirmed that another shooting had taken place early Saturday morning in the same area, with a neighbor telling PennLive that her 16-year-old daughter had been wounded.
Police have already received some tips, Gautsch said, which is “reassuring that the community is not willing to tolerate children being shot on our streets.”
