Navy's Trey Cummings , Army's Andre Carter II and Navy's Marcus Moore all played high school football in Houston.The Army-Navy game is the only FBS matchup on the schedule this week, and just like most college football games, it will feature some Houston flavor.

Army pass rusher Andre Carter II, the best player on the field, played his high school football here at Ridge Point. Oddly enough, Carter wanted to be a tight end, so he mostly was a backup to Mustapha Muhammad, one of the top recruits in the country who signed with Michigan. It wasn't until he went to prep school in Connecticut that Carter tried his hand as a pass-rushing outside linebacker and began to catch scouts' attention.

Besides Carter, there are six other players from Houston in the game: Navy's Trey Cummings , Marcus Moore , Kenzo Viteri and Army's Carter, Bill Katsigiannis , Taylor Saulsberry and Casey Shorter .Andre Carter II, Army, OLB, Ridge Point High School Andre Carter II of the Army Black Knights looks on during the first half of the game against the Connecticut Huskies at Michie Stadium on November 19, 2022 in West Point, New York.The 6-foot-7 senior pass rusher took a circuitous route to get to Army. Carter grew up in California before his family moved to Missouri City and he attended Ridge Point and later spent a year at a Connecticut prep school. Carter was projected as an NFL draft first-round pick up after putting up 15.5 sacks as a junior.
