Kimaï founder Sidney Neuhaus designed her own dazzling engagement ring, as well as the jewellery she wore on her wedding day.
, a place they had visited together a number of times in the past. “We really wanted to provide our guests with an amazing experience,” Sidney says. “We wanted to show them different parts of the city, so on the first night, we had a party in the desert. It was just breathtaking – the sunset was insane.”
For the wedding day itself, the couple had a traditional Jewish ceremony at Beldi Country Club. The bride opted to wear a sleek Galvan gown for the occasion, having initially struggled to find a dress. “I tried on many, many dresses,” the bride recalls. “Again I wanted something modern. When I tried the Galvan dress on, it just felt like me: super simple but with a twist.”
Following the ceremony, the pair hosted an evening reception that featured dancing between all three courses, which showed off the local cuisine. A highlight of the evening saw guests gather around a piano to sing classic hits by the likes of The Beatles and Oasis. “It was really special,” Sidney says.
Ultimately, the wedding was everything the couple had hoped for and more. “It was the first time – and probably the only time – that we have had all those people around us. People came from New York, from Israel, from South Africa, from Europe,” the bride concludes. “We told ourselves, ‘Let’s enjoy every second.’ It was the best weekend of our lives.”
