Cabriolet stand out from most others you’ll find is the Lago Green paint that was only offered for a single model year and special-ordered for this car. The car underwent a cosmetic refurbishment that was completed in 2016 and saw it repainted in the original color. Rust repairs were also performed on the door bottoms, wheel arches, and floor pans during this time.
Complementing the paint are body-colored 15-inch wheels with polished hubcaps and wrapped in Michelin XZX tires. Further adding to the desirability of the car is the tan soft top complete with a plastic rear window and aluminum trim. A look inside the cabin features front seats and a rear bench seat claim in tan-colored upholstery. There are also matching door panels and oatmeal square-weave carpets. ThePowering the car is a 1.6-liter flat-four with dual carburetors and paired to a four-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirms that the car still rocks its original engine.
At the time of writing, bidding on the car had hit the $75,000 mark and seems likely to keep increasing. The car has only been driven 45,000 miles despite being 65 years old and would serve perfectly in any garage or collection.
