Prairie Oaks Ranch, outside of Bowie, sits on approximately 884 acres and includes amenities such as a 9-hole golf course that spans over 2,500 yards, a 29-acre lake and 9 smaller lakes. The lake is fed by Denton Creek, which features 4,000 feet of frontage on both sides. A covered dock/boathouse with a ramp is also available on the property.
A 7,000-square-foot main house on the property features 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The home amenities include a pool, three fireplaces, a bunker, and a rooftop-viewing cupola. An 8,800-square-foot covered deck wraps around the home. The home has an outdoor space with an outdoor kitchen and two fire pits. The home was built in 2004 and was remodeled in 2016.
The property also features a large shop/storage space with an office and a barn apartment that sleeps 10 and includes a full kitchen and living area with 2 baths and an outdoor kitchen and living area. Hiking trails span over five miles on the property, and biking trails range over eight miles. There are also more than five miles of concrete-paved walks and cart paths throughout the ranch, with nearly 20 sculptures to view. The property has a shooting range with sporting-clay throwers, along with an abundance of wildlife to hunt and fish. Fossil hunting can also be explored in the deep ravines on the property.
