Lionel Messi is the hot favourite to win the Ballon d’Or
Last year, the illustrious award was given to French star Karim Benzema after he enjoyed a stellar season with Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid.
However, it has been widely reported that Argentine legend Messi is going to win his eighth Ballon d’Or after a stunning year. Ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League coverage on CBS Sports, Henry was asked whether the Ballon d'Or should be awarded to Messi. You can watch his response below.Henry said: “I mean a lot of people can debate that but for me if you win the World Cup, the way he did it, we can talk about what happened in the final.
The former Arsenal forward said: “A lot of people can claim that Man City players, Haaland and some other players can also say ‘why not me?’ but you can’t say that it’s not right if he wins it.
