Amy Cooper, a white woman, lost her job as a portfolio manager at a New York investment firm after she called the police on a Black man who asked her to put her dog on a leash.

Amy Cooper additionally claimed she was being held to a double standard at her job due to her sex, after three male staffers were not fired following allegations of sexual harassment and insider training, as well as a domestic violence conviction.

"The misconduct that Plaintiff's proposed comparators allegedly engaged in — which runs the gamut from plagiarism to insider trading to a felony conviction — is simply too different in kind to be comparable to her conduct in this case," Abrams said.
