It's an infamously hostile atmosphere but things went too far, according to Sarri, the last time Lazio faced them.
Maurizio Sarri won't be looking forward to a trip to face Feyenoord - and a cautionary tale from his last time there might mean Celtic aren't either.
"There were bags of p*** being thrown from the stands against the dugout," Sarri said in his post-match press conference. "It goes without saying: that is quite irritating." While Sarri's exact claim is unverified, Dutch outlet VL note that footage from the stadium showed "at least one catheter" was thrown towards the boss.
The Eredivisie champions are famed for their furious atmosphere and haven't lost a home Euro tie in more than two years, a run stretching back to 2021. But bags of urine, bottles of beer or none, Celtic will be determined to bring that to an end this week and win their opening Champions League group stage game for the first time in the competition's current form.
