Asymmetrical multiplayer horror game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre now has an August release date, announced by developer Gun.
There are currently only three maps set to release with the game. Sumo Digital lead designer Steve Kirby noted, “When choosing and designing the levels, we knew we wanted players to really experience the iconic locations from the original movie as well as add our own stamp on the franchise. These are key locations for the Family and their Victims and it would not be The Texas Chain Saw Massacre without them”.
The gory game is actually set as a prequel to the classic 1974 movie – with the playable characters being those who left the abandoned camp the film’s poor protagonists stumbled across.
