Adut Akech “couldn’t say no” when designer Nensi Dojaka offered to make her a custom look for this year’s Fashion Awards.
. Amina Muaddi heels and shimmering Tasaki jewellery – including a necklace, hoops and stud earrings – provided the finishing touches, while a patchwork puffer coat by Moncler warded off the evening chill.
Adut was one of five models – Bella Hadid, Lila Moss, Paloma Elsesser and Quannah Chasinghorse – to be nominated for Model of the Year, which is the third time Adut has been in the running for the award. Bella Hadid took home the trophy, but Adut still fondly remembers her win back in 2019. “It was a special moment, it’s the biggest award I’ve won for my work,” she explains. “It was so nice to have your hard work recognised and be seen in this industry.
For Adut, the Fashion Awards is a time to catch up with her favourite people in the business and this year, she couldn’t wait to see everyone’s “gorgeous looks”. Here,
