The Room of Requirement was a welcome sight in Fantastic Beasts, but the Harry Potter series dictates that Dumbledore shouldn't have known about it.
In Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, the younger Albus Dumbledore took Newt Scamander and the others to the Room of Requirement, but this creates a plot hole concerning the rest of the Harry Potter series. Overall, the mysterious "Come and Go Room," as it is sometimes called, became far more than the secret it was intended to be when it was first introduced in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, to the point that everyone seemed to know about it.
Despite Hermione's opinion, Harry had always been reluctant to count Hogwarts out of the Horcrux search since Dumbledore once mentioned that he couldn't dream of discovering all the castle's secrets. This was another clue to Harry that Ravenclaw's diadem was in the Room of Requirement. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore mentioned having found a mysterious bathroom when he desperately needed one and never found it again.
The Room Of Requirement Creates Several Harry Potter Plot Holes Dumbledore's knowledge about the Room of Requirement in Fantastic Beasts isn't the only issue surrounding the convenient Hogwarts location. Voldemort had hidden a precious fragment of his soul in the Room of Hidden Things while he was at Hogwarts interviewing for the Defense Against the Dark Arts position, and he was beyond confident that no one would ever be able to find it.
