Back in the ’80s, there were plenty of sedans and hatchbacks that were given a bed, and turned into little pickup trucks. Down in Brazil, some customizers decided to see what would happen if you did the opposite, and came up with the Ford F-1000 Deserter SR XK.that was sold in Brazil between 1979 and 1998. The name was selected to indicate to buyers that the truck could carry 1,000 kg .
Meanwhile, SR Veículos Especials decided to try its hand at doing some coachwork on the truck, and came up with the Deserter.
