These are the most unfashionable baby names of 2019
Parenting websitehas analysed data from Office for National Statistics to compile a list of the baby names fast going out of fashion - ie the names given to less than one child a week in 2019.
Although it will come as no surprise that"Isis" is no longer a prime contender for a baby girl, interestingly, the names ofcharacters Chandler, Ross and Monica all appear on the chart, despite the popular show celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. "It's a lesson to modern parents that naming your child after the latest trend or popular TV show could see a swift decline in that name being one you'll love forever," said Channel Mum name expert SJ Strum.
"However, what goes down must come up. Highly unpopular baby names are often chosen by hipster parents as these mums and dads seek out a unique name which will make their child stand out in real life and increasingly online."- Oliver topped the boys' list for the sixth year in a row - with 5,390 boys given the name in 2018 - while Olivia retained its number one spot on the girls' list for the third time running.
Other reigning monikers include Amelia, Ava, Isla and Emily while George, Harry, Noah and Jack rounded up the top five baby names for boys.
