It’s just good television, with or without its brand association.had to forsake a lot of the kiddie humor and Force-flecked British costume drama campiness that define the original series. But I don’t detect any real disdain coming from the series—it is rather, in a reverent manner, trying to explore a new tonal possibility held within a treasured and varied universe.
And anyway, hadn’t I enjoyed’s restorative power, I watched the season premiere ofthis morning, only hours after it dropped on Disney+, with a perhaps slightly abashed enthusiasm.
