After becoming 'a pretty big hit' for Netflix, Michael Connelly has an exciting update on TheLincolnLawyer season 2. 'We’re shooting the second season of 'The Lincoln Lawyer” now. We just started (Nov. 1).'
The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 gets an exciting update from author Michael Connelly. The series, which premiered on Netflix this past May, is adapted from Connelly's novel series of the same name, the first book of which was previously adapted into a film starring Matthew McConaughey in 2011. The series adapts book 2, The Brass Verdict, following lawyer Mickey Haller as he works from the back of his Ford Lincoln on various LA-based cases.

It was their biggest debut in a few years. They told us, we won’t make a decision until we have 28 days of data, but like a week after it came out they said, let’s do a second season. Everything We Know About The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 After renewing The Lincoln Lawyer this past June, Netflix confirmed which book they would be adapting for season 2 in July. The season will follow the storyline of the fourth book, The Fifth Witness, skipping over book 3, The Reversal.
The new season, which will consist of ten episodes, will also continue the overarching storyline of season 1, which took place in between other cases. This involves the true killer of The Lincoln Lawyer season 1 victim Martha, who remains at large. Although the entire cast has not been confirmed at this time, the core cast of Garcia-Rulfo, Newton, Campbell, Sampson, and Raycole will be reprising their roles as Mickey Haller, Lorna Crane, Maggie McPherson, Cisco, and Izzy Letts, respectively.
However, Campbell's role will now be in a recurring capacity as she splits her time between this series and Avalon. So far, an official release date has not been announced, however, filming for the previous season lasted about four months, with production concluding about 10 months before the series actually premiered. If they tighten their post-production process, it's entirely possible that The Lincoln Lawyer's return will premiere sometime around the 2023 holiday season.
