Feelings in the past about the eatery are at the root of the deal: Many of the folks in the company grew up in or near Orange, said Brad Race, the company’s head of culinary.And with the previous owner being in his 80s and wanting to retire, “We didn’t want to see it go under, and we decided to take it over.”
“We just cleaned it up. We tried to keep a lot of the original bones, especially in the dining area,” Race said. “It’s a really, really unique oven,” he said. “It’s a revolving oven. It goes ‘round and ‘round like a rotisserie almost.”

The military is increasingly using airstrikes to counter a widespread armed struggle against its rule, which began when it seized power from an elected government in 2021. A witness says a fighter jet dropped bombs directly into a crowd of people who were gathering Tuesday for the opening of a local office of the country’s opposition movement.
